Basic French Baguette

Ingredients:

5 cups All purpose flour
2 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp active dry yeast
2 1/4 cups water

Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and yeast.  Stir in the water to make a sticky dough.  Cover with a dish towel and let it proof on the counter for 12 to 24 hours.  1 hour before you are ready to bake, put a pizza stone into the oven and set it to 450° F.  Turn dough onto a floured surface and divide into two loaves.  Cover loaves and let rise until pizza stone is hot.  Brush tops of baguette with water and put onto stone and into the oven.  Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until brown and crusty.
