Tempeh Ribs

Ingredients:
1/2 cup veggie broth
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
   1 tsp onion powder
   2 tsp liquid smoke

Directions:

Combine all ingredients  into a sauce pan or frying pan.  Bring to a boil.  While you are waiting for it to boil, cut your tempeh.  I usually split mine, then cut into 8 strips, the short way.  This will yield 16 slices.  Add tempeh to sauce and reduce heat to simmer.  Cook for about 5 minutes turning/flipping tempeh half way through.  Remove tempeh from the sauce and place onto a bun or toasted baguette.  Drizzle sauce over tempeh and enjoy!
