A sweet and tangy brown vegan sauce tossed with baked tofu and broccoli. An easy recipe the whole family can enjoy.
Ingredients:
1/2 block of firm tofu drained and cubed
1/2 cup steamed broccoli
3 Tbs each of: Soy sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar and veggie broth
1 Tbs cornstarch
2 Tbs avocado oil
Dash of salt, pepper and garlic powder
1/2 Tsp chili garlic sauce
Directions:
Cut your tofu in half, and save the other half for later or you can add it for more protein. Squeeze the water out of it and cut it into cubes, I like mine small. Toss cubes in avocado oil, season and put onto a baking pan. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes.
For the sauce, add the soy sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, veggie broth, cornstarch and chili garlic sauce and stir until its all incorporated. Pour the sauce into a pan (wok) and constantly stir until sauce thickens. Add baked tofu cubed and stir, then add the broccoli and stir until coated. Serve over your choice of grain, I used buckwheat. Enjoy!!!
